2008-05-26 -- Bilaal Abdullah comments on a recent Bloomberg report on oil production in Mexico:

"News that Mexico's oil production in April fell to 2.767 MBOPD down fown from 3.182 MBOPD a year ago. This was largely due to declining production at various oilfileds including the Cantarell Super-Giant oilfield where production in April was 1.07 MBOPD down from its peak value of 2.692 MOBPD in December 2003. Its not that OPEC won't increase production...THEY CAN'T."

SAN FERNANDO, Trinidad, Feb. 20, 2008. STCIC - - Ever since the release of the Ryder Scott audit of natural gas reserves in August 2007, reserve to production ratios have been a hot topic of conversation in Trinidad & Tobago.  There has been considerable debate and discussion around the ratio and its importance to the future of the country.  In response to this debate the STCIC, in conjunction with the GSTT, has put together an exceptional panel of local and international experts and asked them to address the question:
“Does Trinidad and Tobago need a target reserve to production ratio and if so what should it be?”
